A theme: “first, do no harm”

A theme has emerged from my first set of posts on this Shrine that I have not focused on to date as part of Balanced Positive:

first, do no harm

The posts that contributed to me attaining that perspective were:

  • “Diversity (potentially) provides balance; diversity with discernment (likely) provides a balanced positive”   https://shrineofbalancedpositivity.blogspot.com/2025/02/diversity-potentially-provides-balance.html   In light of this theme, I would probably rewrite the third last paragraph as follows:   “So ... use our discernment - our skills, knowledge, and experience - to [prevent] known [or anticipatable] problems, which enables the diversity to be refined into a mix that will be all - or at least predominantly - options that have potential value/benefit.”

Blessed Be

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
