One of the problems with having been blogging for so long is that I can forget about posts I did a long time ago.
I’ve worked at trying to overcome that a number of ways to aid Readers (and labels are the current best option I have, I think, but my “best of” lists are another, as is, if I can finish them, my planned books), but there was a time I didn’t know about Blogger’s labels, and another time when - all too briefly, sigh - searching was the best way to find posts, so there are gaps in the coverage of my blog contents by labels (and, I suspect, I won’t ever finish updating those).
Be that as it may, I recently came across a post of from a little over eleven years ago, which is:
“Post No. 513 - I am a walker upon the Path of Balanced Positivity, seeking Spiritual Maturity” https://gnwmythr.blogspot.com/2014/01/i-am-walker-upon-path-of-balanced.html
In that post I basically examine how the concept of balanced positivity may vary - in terms of what is communicated, at least - with differing circumstances (or situations).
Looking back at that now, I suspect that is perhaps as much about adapting communication so it is meaningful to those receiving it as anything else, but there are also issues such as balance across time or the level of maturity of those receiving the communication to consider.
As an example, what constitutes balance to a group of people before and after a war/mass atrocity may be different, and, much as one doesn’t try to lecture kindergarten children about the mathematical calculations of quantum physics (although there is a possibility of some young children being advanced enough in that area to cope with that), there are some concepts that need to be discussed when those receiving the communication are mature enough (often oversimplified to age appropriate - which is a problem as the rate/extent of maturity is NOT the same for all who share the same chronological age - and that in itself also varies across human history in response to differing levels of knowledge and education over the period of our existence) to constructively manage those concepts.
I want to find some specific examples, but those I am coming up with at the moment are reflective or recent events, and I want to find something that is more reality applicable through time ...
... such as, perhaps, this:
the concept of balance for the First Peoples of this land - Bandaiyan (see here and here), also known as Australia - before the European invasion that started in 1788 would address most readily (or most apparently) address issues such as resource management, whereas following several decades of violent colonisation and dispossession the main issue for balance relates to power dynamics - political, military, social, health, and, above all else, land.
I have some further reflection and consultation to do ...
Blessed Be

Possible flaws
Where I can, I will try to highlight possible flaws / issues you should consider:
- there may be flawed logical arguments in the above: to find out more about such flaws and thinking generally, I recommend Brendan Myers’ free online course “Clear and Present Thinking”;
- I could be wrong - so keep your thinking caps on, and make up your own minds for yourself.
If you appreciated this post, please consider promoting it - there are some links below, and there’s also other options.
Note that I am cutting back on aspects of my posts - see here.

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).#PsychicABetterWorld and candles for Viva La Résistance à Tr_ mp! and may all that I do be of value and actively BPM used for and by the nonphysical BPM
